SO NOW WE'VE SLEPT ON IT!! DO WE STILL FEEL AS BAD TOWARDS OUR PLAYERS??
..........................................................................................................................

Did I really read on here that Wayne Rooney played a World Cup match with no heart?

He was crap, I think we'd all agree, but come on lads ..... no heart ? .......our Wayne?

Like the honesty to be honest - no doubt he wil be hung out to dry for this and possibily the scapegoat if it all goes wrong.

Fair play to him!

Funnily i think England will pull it of with a good perforemnce in the next game, become ace and get knocked out on penos when they become good, another heroic defeat.

They're England fans, what was he expecting.

Bet he wishes he played for Eire now, and who can blame him?

Listen mate, and your really starting to annoy me with this [Poor language removed], seriously. Whether or not the England fans are dickheads or not, you don't know them individually - they paid a great deal of money to go and watch England, probably more money than they can afford. They deserve to see more football from so called world stars of the game.

I take it you've never been at Goodison and booed when Everton have been utter [Poor language removed]? What are they supposed to do? Sing like they are winning? Do a rendition of YNWA? That was [Poor language removed] out there and every one of those players needs to know that it's not acceptable.

By the way the England fans did what supporters have been doing since biblical times. If something is way below standard, they let them know.

Now stop baiting people here and everywhere with your anti-english rhetoric.

Do you not think it was a show of petulence? Fair play if Rooney had put in a performance and the rest of the team were [Poor language removed], but he was [Poor language removed].

Rooney hasnt matured as a person yet. He always acts like a child on and off the pitch.

Rooney has never been the player he was when he was at Everton. All raw talent. He will always be a tit because lets face it he's a ******* scally. No offence to those who may be offended, but he is - and he is a scally with lots of money, which is probably the worse kind.

big wow. he didn't walk off effing and blinding about england supporters being children of aids ridden whores.

he showed more passion walking off than he did on the pitch though.

No he didn't. He walked off and made a comment to the fans - he was replying to the fans booing him. Was Drogba showing passion when he did what he did in the CL semis?

May I ask where are you from?

well i can see goodison from my bathroom window. i'm not arsed, in this day and age footballers take all sorts of abuse i don't get outraged about them giving a bit back. they shouldn't but what rooney did was mild; and i'm a bit advocate of 'you pay your money....' too the fans have a right to express their opinion.

i've got the radio on and i'm listening to outraged england fans talking [Poor language removed] and pundits now blaming the managers grasp of english and if i here "rooney is a disgrace" again, well.

EDIT: i wasn't having a pop at your post just above mine, i was replying to the general op question jist. just seen where my twopence worth dropped in the thread and it looked like a direct reply to you - it wasn't, sorry if you thought i was narking at you.

But he is a disgrace mate, he could have been like every other footballers on the planet and took it on the chin, but what he was saying was **** you to the fans, you should be supporting me regardless of the performance I put in. The fact he chose to say it on the pitch just shows to me what a little prick he is, and i've spent the last year defending him - but that was out of order.

He didn't have to swear to say **** you, but that was what he meant.

maybe i'm immune to footballers behaving like brats as it's now the norm but he's a young lad who doesn't seem to think first.

i just can't seem to care as much as the media or some fans do about this.

Well that's because your from Liverpool mate, and it seems it's cool to not care about your country. Don't want to tar you with the same brush, but that's what happening to my people.

no way mate i have followed england in tournaments and try to get to watch them when i can. there is no way i am from the 'i'm not english, i'm scouse' school of bellendery. never.

having said that i'll accept defeat in this one as i'm clearly in a minority it doesn't bother me but the radio is still on fire with calls from 'angry of woking'

Well fair play to you mate. I too have accepted, just like I accepted all the other games. It's annoying when we all know what needs to happen, but time and time again the coaches pick the wrong side.

I found myself defending Heskey - but no more. He's just poor, and when he put his hand up last night, it wasn't for the [Poor language removed] cross, it was for his lack of ability in those situations.

I do think England fans ringing in and kicking off does show that they care.

yeah, all in all it was a really bad performance, but we are still in there and i have confidence in don fabio getting it right. could be miss placed but the knock out rounds start now.

following england is so frustrating.
