Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Wouldn't you want to leave if you felt the club you support and love have been trying to push you out of the club by buying 3 people that can play your position? He is human at the end of the day and not saying it is right, but maybe this is his bit of revenge for how he has been treated by the club. He is still young and clearly thinks with his emotions from what I have seen and read in the past.
So he goes to Chelsea who already have 3 players better than him in his position? Fabregas isn’t even a regular there.

Also he’s not that young anymore...The man is 24 not 19

If I really hated my employers absolutely I would deliberately do them over.

Conte has called him "a good prospect" even though he's 24 years old and has been a first-team premier league footballer for five years.

Hints at what's to come for Ross - perma-sub with the odd start in the league cup vs. Walsall. He'll be a decent signing for Sunderland though when they're back in the premier league in 2022.

Indeed.

If I was a young boy starting out again, there is no way I would fall in love with Everton the way I did.

In fact, I would not even have fallen in love with the game itself, as it is thoroughly rotten to the core at the highest levels.

I feel like this too. There seems to be no fight in the club anymore and its finally trickled to a fair chunk of the fans. Look how negative, and rightly so, we are about our chances tonight. Fed up with it all. Not just Barkley, the whole sport. 15 years ago I would have wanted to rip his head off for what he has done, now I'm ambivalent to it all.

I think you need to understand how "he has been treated by the club" since he was a boy. Loyalty and respect are not words in his vocabulary.....then again, from his public appearances over the years and his 'hello Chelsea" video today, I'm not sure many words of more than one syllable are.

Just to clarify... I think they way he's mugged the club out of £20m in order to pick up a bigger wedge for himself is about as ratty as you can get. Initial reply wasn't meant to be a defense of Ross.

To be perfectly honest, I said it to my brother on the last transfer deadline day that this was the only logical reason that he didn't move in the summer... if he was essentially promised a bigger signing bonus in exchange for waiting.
Sound about right too me.

He could have been promised that they will sell 1 or 2 of those players, or that as they have more games than us he may have been promised game time. Time will tell on that whether or not Chelsea sell players so he has a spot or if he sits on the bench just getting his pay cheque. They could of lied to him and he ends up sitting on the bench, but then we will see him kick up a fuss like he has here.

I know this is a terrible word to use here but he sounds like a bit of a retard. If he wasn't a footballer he'd probably be on benifits and tossing off 10 times a day.
If you are going to question a persons mental capacity, it would be wise to check your post for spelling mistakes.
Oh, and as if he has the stamina for that.
