Had a good game overall, looked bang on it at start of second half especially prior to their goal. If Silva or someone had done that pass for the third goal FIFA virgins everywhere would be uploading gifs to twitter jizzing over it.

Still showed signs of old habits on the counter one time when he spent too long deciding what to do but overall looked solid. He's big time confidence player as we all know, hopefully can kick on from here, definitely has another gear or two he can reach imo... just needs some things to go his way and build on the confidence he's starting to show.

I'm happy for him that he has got his career back on track. I thought he always got a raw deal whilst he was here in terms of the players around him. Plenty of times we'd bemoan the fact he hadn't beat 3 men and stuck one in the top corner.

I don't think he will ever reach the potential he showed when he first burst onto the scene but he is absolutely streets ahead in terms of ability of all the young lads we've got in the first team now.

2 or 3 decent games on the run he has had which is hardly ground breaking and consistency and decision making were always a huge problem with him. It remains to be seen whether his decent form and improvement continues. He is fuelling himself on bitterness at the moment so i wouldn't be surprised if his form drops off again very soon as it always has done. Difficult to change who you are.

Loads of rubbish I’m afraid, you’re making stuff up and I knew from your post in the today’s football thread that you’d go straight to the one example of him doing something bad rather than focusing on a generally very solid performance.

There’s more to football than highlight reel plays, he looked very comfortable at times against one of the inform teams in international football.

But yes better to wait until the end of the season before hailing him as being amazing, he’s on the right path though and he had a good game against very good opposition... trying to break down and downplay his match into one good pass and one bad pass is comically bitter though.

You could say the same off Sigurdsson, a few good games this season after being mostly cack last season, and all of a sudden he's top class, long may it continue like.
