Thing is i dont care about the money he cost us as these days were not exactly skint, he left and was only bang average for us anyway, so we were never going to miss him. The shame of it is for us is that Barkley would have matured for us at his age now under a manager who could add that discipline to his game Sarri has. I accept that he's under more pressure at Chelsea to rein in his excesses and get behind the ball more in order to keep a place in the first team squad, but it's fantasy to say that we dont lose out by not having his talent at the club - just look at the mediocrity in the middle of the park we have right now and tell me he wouldn't give us a better option under Silva's coaching.

Yes, he was (and probably still is in some respects) immature. However, he was always kept young in the head whilst here and indulged, and that probably had off-field repercussions too. He's at an age now when he'll shed that persona and get his head down. Chelsea will benefit and we'll just look on wondering what might have been under different circumstances.

The fact that he was clubbing and stood out like a sore thumb in Liverpool didn't help.If he goes out in Nth London or anywhere away from the main areas of Chelsea support he'll just melt into the background.Don't think that ever would have been a possibility with us.

Telling a spoilt diva who hadn't developed in 4 seasons to start working harder and affecting games more instead of just drifting in and out was a low point? One of the few things Koeman did right was publicly chastise Barkley, was about time someone demanded more of him and the best players would have rose to the manager's tough love (i.e. Gerrard under Benitez, Lampard under Mourinho, Sterling under Pep).

Barkley is a talented footballer but an utter muppet of person with the intelligence and emotional range of a flea. He'll never be world class.

I blame the RS supporting ma of the gangsta that ultimately ran Rosscoe out of town. Ross is a clever lad but under the temptation and guile of a MILF, he really stood no chance. We lost a talent like that for ten bob because and he and Chelsea agreed to a scam. What, you're not going to be fit until January?
