So okay he was injured and we covered the medical bills. Ask though why did Chelsea leave it until near the end of the summer window, why did they not come in earlier if they wanted Barkley. It was circulating really since the previous January that he wanted out by refusing a new contract.
Cannot see why folk blame the club for his leaving, he just wanted out does not matter for what reason, his mind was made up.

I know but we paid for the insurance. Ironic though if he had signed a new contract with us or gone to Chelsea earlier in the window may never have been injured.
