Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Apparently Joe Anderson has also referred the matter to the Police to establish whether any fraud involved in transfer deal. This, of course, in addition to his letter of complaint to the FA.

I have been reliably informed that Ross has been signed as Chelsea need to up their quota on English players to satisfy the UEFA rules, as was drinkwater from Leicester. Sat in in the stands or benchwarmer, suppose he will be happy on his £170,000 a week.

There s no such thing as a quota of English players in UEFA tournaments or indeed the PL. Indeed you can name a squad that doesn’t have one English player.

What there are is places reserved for homegrown players and you don’t have to be either English or come to that British for that qualification to be satisfied.

wow. we're still talking about Barkley?!!

I work in Chelsea, and the only silver lining here is that the Chelsea team are often spotted training and warming up outside my office by the river. I'll be able to boo the crap out of him while all my sad Chelsea loving colleagues go running over for selfies with the squad. :)

Your a weirdo. Why are you lying? Chelsea train in Cobham which is outside of London. Stamford bridge is in Fulham and not Chelsea. So either your full of it for some strange reason or you not quite sure where you work

Rightly so.

He might not to be everyone's tastes as a politician, but Big Joe is definitely on the side of the angels

I'm no fan of how this has been handled but to suggest this maybe a police matter is ridiculous. In fact even trying to get the league involved smacks of bitterness. What player in this market does he seriously think we could buy with the original offer of £35m? The only people to blame are the board who allowed a potentially valuable asset run his contract down.

Two posts. Chelsea that.

I'm an Evertonian who happens to live in London so know that the first post I replied to was talking nonsense and sorry if I think it stinks of bitterness to go along with the narrative that we were robbed. We weren't, we gave a player all the power and act surprise when he wields it. Move on. As shall I be because I didn't tow your party line.

My apologies. FWIW, I agree with you.

I didn't mean to get snarky but felt you were calling me a Chelsea Fan lol and having my credentials questioned. Just think we need to move on. Trying to get police and powers that be involved stinks of Rawk.

It was just your very first posts, after joining today, were about a Chelsea player. 2 + 2 made 5!

I get that just that first post I replied to caught my eye and then the 2nd was what I had come here to say. I've been a long time lurker. You will see me around other threads in no time!

Not quite sure what he hopes to achieve by taking this course of action.

Any competent investigator would just line up the facts such as he was injured, he had only weeks of his contract left, two clubs were reported in for him in August but only one in January, hadn’t played this season and know straight away that unless anything is recorded in writing then it would be near enough impossible to prove wrong doing.

I am still of the opinion that Chelsea made the offer but either a medical threw up issues or when his medical records were handed over and it became apparent that his injuries needed time to heal and be assessed as time progressed.

What amazes me is that people actually support Anderson filing complaints. What does it achieve apart from show his ignorance at how contracts work. Yes we could of got more in the summer but for his injury.
