Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

I'm still in a bad mood from Saturdays lack of effort at Wembley so thought I'd come back on the Ross Barkley thread and mention once again that he's a horrible little rat and hope someone snaps him in half at Chelsea training. Feel a little better now, probably use this page again after West Brom!

The only positive that I can see for the little rat terrrrn coat is that he never had the misfortune to play for Big Fat Sam.

Ross stayed for over five years, Rooney jumped ship the first chance he got and gave his prime years to a rival club, banging in goals against us and sliding on his knees across the Goodison turf for good measure. Rooney is a United legend.

Barkley has given far greater service to Everton than Rooney ever will. You could argue Ross should have left sooner to develop his career. He stayed and has stagnated.

But Ross the 'turncoat' is the one getting dog's abuse, Rooney welcomed back like the prodigal son.

Rooney went for a huge fee (back in those days).
ross systematically screwed the club over of 15+ million.

both shouldn't be wearing the shirt, but the difference is huge.

Rooney made sure we got a proper fee for him. Ross is a snide rat barsteward.

And if some mug bought him back, we'd no doubt welcome him back. Such is life as a football fan.

But until then... Booooooooo!

The difference was that Rooney was the hottest property in world football after Euro 2004. He literally could of had a pick of clubs to sign for. We were never gonna keep Rooney, especially the mess the club was in then too. Plus Rooney never ran his contract down, so he could get a massive signing on fee for himself or his agent. Yes the way he left was shocking and his actions after leaving were shocking. What Ross done was more shocking to me. Have any club come in for him? Did he perform in the highest competitions, set the premier league alight? Rooney at a younger age, had teams petrified of him, Big name managers wanting him. Barkley, at 18/19 was struggling to get into a poor Leeds team under Neil Warnock. Rooney was scoring goals in champions league games.Yes, the was always rumours of clubs wanting him, but was the any offers made for Ross? For all we know, this was Barkleys first chance to jump ship, which he did.
