Best player on the pitch today. You can say Hazard grabbed the goals and the headlines but knowing that there is a player of the quality of Ross on the bench must take the pressure of Eden... :coffee: :p

And some massive European giants brushed aside as well.

PAOK, Vidi, BATE, Malmo, Dynamo Kiev, Slavia Praha, Frankfurt and Arsenal. A veritable who's who of European heavyweights.
Well the ECs of the past were won by doing less than that.

All you can do is beat what;'s there.

Anyway, I'm happy for him. He did his best for us and was hounded out by that nobhead Koeman.

Why do we always turn on our own?

I'm just happy for the lad. In a nightmare here with that 'kin donkey Koeman, then leaves and has silverware 18 months later. Divvies and snides like Conte and Koeman dont get performances from him. Coaches who put the proverbial arm round his shoulder like Roberto and Sarri do.

No one has turned on him, he turned on us, but its all in the past now really. When he was at Everton that support he got was second to none, thing is we have a lot of positives to concentrate on now going forward, so its all good.

Had his best spell under Koeman mate

Fair play to him, he's got what he went there for. I have nothing against him. I don't really have an opinion on how he left as I didn't really care anyway. He was a frustrating player to watch and remains so at Chelsea (assist at City springs to mind as a recent example).

I just can't really stretch to congratulating him on becoming the next Danny Drinkwater. I'm being kind to him there mind as Drinkwater actually won something before throwing it in and going to Chelsea.

The manager who got the best out of him for a consistent spell was undoubtedly Koeman, a bit of tough love did him good.

He’s now a bit part player at a better club, so he’s done the right thing as far as collecting silverware goes.

As usual the initial rage of how he shat on the club in his last year is now largely forgotten by the more fickle of our fans.

He’s a decent player, no more than that, regardless of who he plays for, Everton or otherwise.
