I reckon if you were all nice to him and didn’t boo he’d be back like a shot. He loves Everton, despite the manner of his departure. When he retires you’ll be referred to as ‘we’ by him. It certainly won’t be us who are. Nevertheless I like him.
thank u buddy please do not listen to our negative turds who drove him away from my beloved home. some have already turned their attention to ancelotti. we will defeat our toxic fans as we need to.

I actually want to see him play, but if everyone is fit he won’t get in the team. My point was though that he’ll always be an Evertonian, much like Graham Stuart who always backs you against us.
What is that supposed to mean?

A player who leaves to give his best years to another club ala Rooney?

Utterly bizarre putting someone on a pedestal because of who they “support” after their playing career is over.

Taking this attitude...Everton vs Man Utd, year 2028....”oh that Wayne Rooney, yeah he left Everton the first chance he got at 18 and gave his prime years to United, becoming their all time leading goalscorer which included sliding across the Goodson turf in delight as he scored yet another goal against Everton...but, feck all that, he wears Everton pyjamas and will be supporting the blues today”.

Absolute mug thinking this is.

Have to hand it to him, he looked boss on Sunday. That being said it was more us than him. Our midfield was absolute shizz and was unable to pressure the ball one bit.

That being said he's a rat and I'll boo him up and down the pitch regardless of what kit he's wearing.

Are the two good performances against the Merseyside teams because he knew he'd be under scrutiny from opposing fans?

I imagine his performance vs RS was elevated by the fact his lover* was probably among the spectators...

*...rumour has it he goosed the RS supporting GILF of a Merseyside gangsta.
