Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

He played in and won a Europa League Final. He also won the FA Cup. He spent time playing CL football. Ok, no he was never a key player in the Chelsea side, but let's not act like it was a bad career move for him. He's basically done Fabian Delph in reverse. Should Delph not have gone to City?

Yes, our club is now approaching a level to go places Villa won't be soon, but we aren't there yet, so let's keep ourselves in check.
It's nothing to do about keeping ourselves in check, I never mentioned anything about us approaching a level to go places, and I never said it was a bad career move for the lad, those things are all a fabrication of your own mind. I said that I thought the majority of Blues felt it would go pear-shaped for him at some point and indicated my surprise that the lad had gone to Villa.

Personally, I see Barkleys' Aston Villa move a bit unfortunate and believe he's more talented than a lot of people give him credit for. Hopefully, it will be a good move for him.

Oh, and in answer to your 'Delph' question. No, he shouldn't have gone to Man City. But that's just my opinion based on what I read at the time about the situation concerning his move.

Indeed, but I didn’t notice his name within todays England Squad.....

Hes left because Frank doesn't want him and he's not getting in ahead of Kovacic, Jorginho, Kante, Mount, or Havertz.

Nobody wants to pay actual money for him so out on loan he goes.
Frank wants all the depth. He's doing everything he can to keep 6 CBs in the squad. I guarantee Ross asked out.

By offering Rudiger out?

Its been no secret they've been trying to flog him for the past year.

Mount walked into that team last year and made him a nonentity even more so now they've signed Havertz and Ziyech.

He's not even 4th choice for the two sitting midfielders and likely 4th choice for their attacking midfielder.

They have Mount, James, CHO, and Abraham now so they have zero need for a token english midfielder which is all he was signed to be.

They hoped he would tie them over til those players were ready for the squad and now they are he doesn't have a place in the squad and they didn't get any offers to make a profit on the 15 million they spent on him or they would have sold him.

Man you like proper hate him. Is it a full time thing keeping tabs and trying to frame it in the worst way possible?

I just won't be making excuses for him constantly like you seem to want to do.

If Frank wanted him and had a plan for him he doesn't leave. He didn't so now you've made up this stuff about him leaving for his England position when every man and their dog knows Chelsea wanted rid of him after only signing him in the first place because he was cheap and they needed English lads in the squad.

Its no coincidence that they bring 4 english players into the squad and hes been bombed out on loan.

Mason Mount ended his Chelsea career.

Thats not how it works. If Lampard wants the player, player stays. If Lampard doesnt want the player, player goes. Loan or fee.

Exhibit A. Yannick Bolassie.
David Luiz asked out and was sold. It happened last summer. Yes Lampard has to ok it, but he isn't fighting guys either.

What you seem to be missing is that all of this can be true and he could still have had a better career than had he not left us.
