I think he has, just not to the level we thought he'd initially get to. The general reaction from Chelsea fans seems to be a bit disappointed he's been loaned out as he's viewed as a good squad player and bench option... more so than RLC at least.

A squad player for Chelsea is what we we all expected him to end up as before getting bombed out to a Newcastle or West Ham.

Arguably being sent to Villa means he's done even worse than expected.
