Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Koeman treated Niasse like utter crap too. If anything, I'd say the way Niasse was treated - and yes, I know Barkley is a better player, I'm not saying he isn't - was much worse.

Again mate I agree, Koeman forced him out of the club but even so why not just go in summer? That would have been fair enough but no.
You've no more proof to say Koeman forced Barkley out then I'd have to suggest Koeman was like a second farther to the lad. The only thing we know for certain is that Barkley had arguably the best season of his career under Koeman last season so his tough love reigeme hardly had that much of a negitive effect.

The reailty is Barkley probably wanted out because he saw how poor we were going to be this season and wanted no part of it. Which is a decision I could of understood even if it saddened me. If the lad had just been honest and gone in the summer, rather then hanging around like a bad smell for six mouths while using the club and doing us out of 20mill I'd of wished him well. As things are, I hope he fails miserably.

Well we probably won’t ever know unless Barkley releases a biography in his 30s or something. Barkley was defo more of a team player under Koeman which was good to see but he was also a lot more reserved at times when he should have been selfish as shown by his low amount of goals that year. Not to mention Koeman playing him on the right a lot.

The main thing is though, at least imo, Barkley is a confidence player who needs an arm around the shoulder rather than publicly criticised by his manager in the press. A lot of this came at a time when literally ever player was garbage so it was defo unfair. That said, there’s no excuse for how he left the club.

I think there you're crediting the boy with a greater footballing brain than he has. If he could see how bad we were going to be, then maybe we should've made him player manager!
