A critique.

Our dearest Ross:

It is strange to think, we have not seen you in months. - Saw him in the Raz last Wednesday, lad

We have seen many new moons, but not you. - there's only one moon orbiting earth. Jupiter has many moons. And while I can't say you're not from Jupiter, all of those moons are pretty old as well.

We have seen sunsets and sunrises, but none of your marauding runs through the midfield. - "marauding" means to search for things to steal or people to attack. He's not Besic. Your ruminations on absence and linear time immediately evoke death, lending a sinister and desperate tone to your work.

The pieces of ours broken heart and dropped points can pass through the eye of a needle. - a curious mixing of metaphor here. Also makes no sense in any figurative reading.

We miss you like the sun misses the flower. Like the sun misses the flower in the depths of winter. - here you suggest that stars have feelings. They do not. Reintroducing the sun at this point, under a different metaphoric conceit, is a structural mistake.

Instead of beauty to direct its light to, our hearts and creativity have hardened like the frozen world your absence has sent us to. - and here you suggest 'we' have been banished to an icy simile, and, perhaps, that 'our' hearts are capable of directing light beams that melt glaciers, which may be the real reason for rising sea levels.

We next compete at home vs Aston Villa. We'll find it empty and cold if you're not there. - the subject here is Aston Villa, who are by definition empty and cold.

Hope guides us. It gets us through the day and especially the night. The hope that after you leave our sight it will not be the last time we look upon you in the Royal Blue of Mersey. - see the depression thread above x

With all the love that we possess... we remain yours... - he'll never respect you if you just throw it around willy-nilly.

This is A Knight's Tale isn't it?

Have you seen our league position. We're a couple of results from mass suicide.
Indeed. Fail to get a win v Villa or Burnley and we'll end October in the bottom 3. When was the last time we found ourselves in that position at the quarter stage of the season?

Pleased that he will soon be in full training.

He was pretty poor for a few weeks after coming back from the toe injury last season and this injury was far more serious. It might take him a while get up to speed - hope he is given time before people start getting on his back.
This is true. People on here are expecting miracle from ross but it's gonna take 3 or 4 games to get up to speed.lets give him a chance before the predictable backlash begins
