Ross Barkley

.....us oldies remember Booby Charlton, Barkley reminds me of him and that is some accolade. If he really works hard and doesn't think he's the finished article he could be very, very special. Watch some old clips of Charlton running at pace and unleashing shots with either foot and you might see a similarity.

Way before my time sir! But I've seen bits and pieces and that looks like a great reference from what little I've seen.

I think he's certainly got the hard work attitude in built into him because of his setbacks and how he's responded, I just hope we get to reap the benefits while he's in a royal blue kit.

He's key to us and we've missed him so much.not a coincidence that Barry and McCarthy play better with Ross there to. He drives us forward creates space puts the opposition on the back foot and more. There was a situation today he held of two challenges and kept the ball if that was ossie ( dig aside) he would of lost possession.

We will never be big enough to keep top talent unless we are taken over by a billionare

Crap in it
Hope he stays. He could be the catalyst that persuades the board to either part with some cash or sell to the right man.he strikes me as a player who is happy playing his football for a club he loves. Its not all about money and medals

Its mostly about that like

If you would him? would ya. I know i would. Millions in the bank after a few years at Everton? I suppose its all relative really. The lad loves Everton.

I would want to win things Bry, I would want to play in CL finals and challenge for league titles

Playing for Everton would be a dream come true obviously but lets say 4-5 years down the line and you have yet to play in the CL and are floating around 6-7th every year, Would you not want a move?

I personally think he will give us 2 seasons max, if we dont "progress", win something or get CL, he will koff and rightly so.

Its every Everton fans dream to play for Everton, but when your "potentially" 1 of the better players in the world, sometimes you want more.

I want money, power and glory
I want money and all your power, all your glory
Hallelujah, I wanna take you for all that you got
Hallelujah, I'm gonna take them for all that they got

From Everton, no never.

I'm not daft enought to think he feels the same but he's grew up a blue. Personally dragging your beloved Everton back to the top would be better than anything any other team could offer.

Jeffers and Rooney not long after has made us cynical about it. I still reckon he will get sold for a bomb at some point too like.

Look at Rooney though, boss career but he'll never have the admiration of his home city. Ross can be as good as he wants at Everton and have a lounge named after him at the ground one day, he's that good.

It's not just about him though is it, it's about earning enough for his family, plus his family to be and then his family to be's kids. That's before you take into account his agent and his family and kids.

I'd play for Everton my entire life if I was given the chance, I know I'm not in that situation, but I firmly believe the money I'd be getting paid would be enough for me, and I'd be proud to chuck on the Blue jersey. Don't hold it against Barks if he does move either, and I know it's a bit cliched, but every game for Everton would be a cup final.

I agree but if the board don't show ambition then he can't drag us anywhere near the top, End of

We either get sold or the board start spending big, Neither will happen whist Barkley is an Everton player
