He must of worked his socks off to be in such good condition - returns after long layoff to training late last week yet within a few days is fit enough to start.
Great mentality on the pitch as well. Had a nasty tackle early on his knee that could have badly knocked his confidence but he shook it off and took the resultant free kick - went straight into the wall but you could see his determination to make up for lost time.

Didn't stop baines from staying mate. I do think ross will leave at one point but i don't think it will be down to money.
What I find interesting is that Ross has lived through us being gash and seeing the likes of Rooney get our hopes up to only crap on us and move on, but he's also seen our potential, the little moments of pure elation such as the top 4 finish, The FA Cup final that might have ended differently. Who knows what motivates barkley only he does and as much as us, journalists and fans of the top clubs speculate we don't know.
Its footballers wages, we as mere mortals would prolly sell all our internal organs to match Hibberts weekly wage, but at some point we will be offering him 20p a week when the rest of the league are offering him £2.50p.

He's from Wavertree. The prospect of either Everton or Liverpool remembering your name as one of their greatest ever players and lifting trophies for them is what every single non weird kid dreams of.
Sure you can put a load of wins on your CV with Chelsea or City but it will be a fraction of the depth of feeling or joy that you would doing it as a scouse lad for a Liverpool team.
Unless of course you'd failed to win the league. Even worse if you was the one remembered for slipping up and costing the league, but Ross is better than that and a lot more friendlier towards DJs.
