Yer defo mate

I am sure he would rather dream about lifting the FA cup in front of thousands of blues than actually doing it

Missed my point completely mate, if in 2 years city come in for him his dream might to be to lift a cup with us and if he hasn't done it he might choose to stay and aim to win it.

But say we win the FA cup this season, in 2 seasons time the same scenario happens but ross has already lifted a cup for his boyhood club therefore his dream has already been achieved, and from that he may look at it as "well I've achieved all I can with everton and achieved my personal dream now time to challenge for titles and CL medals"

Naive or not, last season showed me the gulf isn't that wide.

But it is a massive gulf, Yes we had a chance of top 4 but we blew it, Our squad tired and faded away due to our numbers, That's down to money

We would need a season with hardly any injuries to get top 4 imo, The top teams have money to buy quality back up players

If Moyes was still manager he'd have him on loan at Halifax or somewhere.

Anyone catch the Football Focus interview of Sgt Major Moyes? *shudder*

I read the extract of the more detailed interview on BBC, it's actually incredible that he claims Barkleys rise as a by product of his management, Stones to for that matter but I guess he did buy him.

Haha all them things are true mate.does he look happy to you though ? He genuinely doesn't to me

Tbh mate, I only watch Everton. No football focus, MOTD, SKy etc and not arsed about England so I wouldn't have a clue how Rooney looks. If he's not happy with what he's got, he's even more stupid than he's made out to be.

I've seen a lot of lows in my time as an Everton supporter and see a lot of clubs who aren't worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as us get investment and be able to compete for trophies. The one constant shining light though in my time as a fan has been players we have produced. From the first one I remember which was Billy Kenny, then we've had the likes of Michael Ball, Dunne, Unsworth, Hibbert, Osman, Rooney, Barkley and to a lesser extent but still brought some great moments, Cadamateri, Branch, Anichebe, Vaughan. Hopefully the next set are about to come through like Browning, Ledston, Williams, Kenny and Grant as well. Always fills me with great pride and hope that we can produce 1st team players on a consistent basis.

So are you saying we don't have quality back ups? I would humbly disagree with you.

I get your point to a certain degree, mind, but I think there is hope. Atletico is exhibit A to show that it can be done. The young lads are only going to get better. We CAN be in that conversation in my eyes.

He's a fraud that fella

Remember he started playing him towards the arse end of his last season?

"They'd want to see a lot of him but I can tell you he's not ready to be someone who's starting every game and every week, that's for sure."

That was in April after the Arsenal away game

4 months later he starting against Norwich under Martinez and hasn't looked back

He was sitting there all smug rewriting history. Fair enough, the man did a good shift for Everton (in between moaning about money one week and then saying he didn't require money the next week), but he's telling a few fibs there when he implies he brought the best out of the likes of Coleman, Barkley and (most bizarre of all) Rooney!

Could spot a decent player though. I'd have no problem with him coming back to Goodison as chief scout and head bottle washer.

Here's hoping mate

Fair enough mate.im not saying ross will stay but maybe it would be better for him if he did.money doesnt guarantee happiness and its not as if he won't become a multi millionaire if he stays with us
