Ross Barkley

I wouldn't want Ross to leave, even for 60 Million

It sends a bad message if we sell him. It makes a statement if we keep him, that we're no longer a selling club and that we deserve of respect from the "bigger" clubs in the country

Plus, Ross is going to be amazing, and I want to see him reach the heights I know he can while wearing an Everton shirt.

Should I be lucky enough to make it, I'll be telling supporters of the future how great Ross was. I'll be the old feller in the pub telling young whippersnappers that I used to watch Ross Barkley every week and he really was as good as the legend says

Spending 28mill on a young talented player and then selling a young and even more talented ENGLISH player is one step forward and two steps back in my opinion.
Keep hold of our best players and continue to build a top 4 squad.

In fairness to Brown Shoes, he's making the absolute best of an undoubted injury crisis. Young players are constantly rotated (position wise) around to teach them discipline, perspective and overall understanding of the game (which also will help his awareness of other playersP. Those arguing about world class players being played out of their "natural position" need look no further than Schweinsteiger's early career out wide. Now, given that we clearly lack wide players (fit/developed ones anyway), and that naismith benefits greatly from confidence afforded to him when he plays in behind, I'd be quite happy to support this seeming "mismatch" during this crucial stage of Ross's development.

Agree with what you're saying but by the time Barkley sees the benefit of this positional switch he will probably (let's face it) be playing for another club!

Say what now? The high street used to be boss, like 15 years ago, now its turd.

Edit, can't really go on the swings now, Operation Yew Tree will set a trap.

Hahaha I was being tongue in cheek like....cuffs isn't exactly the hippest bar in L15 but at least you've got less chance of being shot dead than you have in the Thatched House!!
