Unfortunately for Ross I think he will need to start dominating games and putting in stellar performances for us for Roy to start him.

Roy values players that do a lot of work defensively and I think Ross has a bit of a reputation for not doing that.

He's in danger of being this generation's LeTissiere, not that I would complain if so.

Wouldn't that then stand to reason that the same should be said of Sterling? He's not even a better version of SWP or Lennon with no defensive awareness.
 

I heard some fella on bbc merseyside after swansea game refer to him as Ross Barklet about 3 times. Carried on even after being correct, boss ;)

I think Ross Barkley is potentially a very good player but I think Sterling edges him in most areas. It's a shame that we've got two good young players who play in the same position as it looks like Barkley will miss out. It reminds me of when Gascoigne used to keep Le Tissier out of the England team.
