Ross Barkley

I really hate Roy. Ross hasn't looked the same since he was bollocked after he put in a great performance in the WC qualifiers.

Good article

Although Martinez needs to start playing him as a No10 too. His confidence looks shot and he's over thinking his game. We need to be patient and allow him to play his way back into form. Sticking him on the left isn't doing him any favours.

There are players you can over manage when all they need is managers who show faith in them.

But as I said like Tis would have been if he moved unless he goes on to greatness and starts winning games by himself a player like that will only ever be an impact sub at the very highest level.

If this keeps happening he could turn out to be the next paul scholes in terms of international football might aswell retire from international games while woy is in charge, not doing any good getting a 4 minute run out and getting shouted at to play on the wing.

Woy is taking england backwards no matter how results go, the country has been crying out for natural talents and we've got a dinosaur trying to teach them to play a way of football that is gone. Sums it up when Downing even gets a 45 min run out against a side who would struggle in the championship

His bias towards the RS players is the worst i've seen.

Ross doesn't look happy anymore, compare him with last 2 games of last season and last few games for Everton and England he's lost a spark, and his control has suffered. That Woy wollocking really will do more help won't it.

100% right there. to get outed by your international manager for losing the ball in the press sum's this clown up. Martinez should grow a pair and call him and say why are you putting him in the squad you obviously don't fancy him. Ross would be better off in the 21's with a proper manager, I posted it a few day's ago and I will repeat it get this Bumbling old fool out of English football.

True. Robertson jogs past Sterling for the Scotland goal, that deserved a bollocking

Barkley was pissed off because he didn't get on earlier or start. He's just coming back from injury and if everyone takes off their blue glasses, they'll realise that there is a lot of competition in the England midfield. But Hodgson was right to bollock him...he came on and started fannying around(like he does for Everton, in fact) and lost the ball at least 3 times in as many minutes. He's currently a 'good' player...its up to him whether he can become a 'great' player, but the warning signs are there. Ross has to learn to be more decisive, move the ball on quicker, and follow the team plan. Great runs into the opponents box and the odd good finish do not make a complete footballer. It may come, but then again it may not. Just my opinion, trying to be unbiased about one of our potentially excellent players. and Wilshire tonight looked like a player, for the first time really in an England shirt.

Get the impression he's only in the squad to appease the media etc who laud him as the next big thing for England. Woy definitely doesn't fancy him, the more mistakes Ross makes (which Hodgson is encouraging with his constant criticism) the more reason he's got to drop him. Horrible kopite dinosaur of a manager.

He's coming back from injury and still finding his way. I think saying he "doesn't look happy anymore" is a little over the top mate. He will be sound once he's got his sharpness back.

Such crap. He had lost the ball once after being subbed on with 7 minutes to go: something which is very normal with players' first few touches off the bench as they get used to the pace of the game. He then received the ball deep in his own half, back to goal and with no pass on - he held on to the ball and drew a foul. This deserves a bollocking why? It's the first time Roy had got off his arse all game that I remember (he'd been sending Neville up with instructions for the rest of it) and it's very strange. I just can't figure out Hodgson when it comes to Ross.

Yep your not wrong, the tit just sat on his arse all game. Can't stand the beaut and can't wait when he's finally told to do one. For all of modern technology Gary Neville has at his disposal working for Sky and all the great punditry he does about quality football, he's basically just a little yes man as well for Hodgson. To not even look like winning a game in the World Cup and still keeping his job was a joke.
