Strolled about yesterday, wasn't bothered about blocking crosses or putting tackles in. Not sure how you didn't notice that.
To be fair he rarely does either, or at least not effectively. If you were talking about his strengths, I wouldn't put tackling in his repertoire.

Still I agree, yesterday he was noticeably poor in both areas along with other aspects of his play.

Some people are mentioning laziness, but personally I think it is unfair criticism. He's just lacking confidence and that's effecting his overall play.

He's Matt Le Tissier

Nothing, nothing, nothing................. then a moment of magic.

He only a young lad and will improve, needs to play behind Lukaku though and not wide left.

Agreed, but it then begs the obvious question of where do you play Naismith, or don't you? Or abandon 4-2-3-1 to play both?

That's it mate, its tough to drop Naismith who has played so well recently, maybe rotation is the key (one or the other, and sub's)
Rather than shoe-horning them into wide positions that don't suit either IMO.

To me there is something missing in his game good player yes, great player no. If City or anyone else comes in with £40mil let him go..

Were you saying that after his goal v Newcastle away last season?

What about after his goal against City at home?

Or what about his performances against Swansea or Arsenal away last season?

He WILL be a great player. Of course hes inconsistent, hes still a novice in this league. Remember when he got injured last year and it took him weeks to regain form.

Absolutely bonkers post imo. Do you think that Utd didnt go through some irritation with Ronaldo before he became arguably the best player in the world??

Obviously it was bad that he dived but it's been utterly ridiculous how sky and MOTD have replayed it countless times and analysed it. He wasn't the only player that dived this weekend so why has he been singled out?

There was nothing when Sterling dived to try and win a penalty when the RS went 2-1 down at Palace today.

Here we go again, let's make comparisons with Ronaldo. There is absolutely nothing certain about the 'fact' that this lad will go on to be a great player. Some people aren't convinced at all that he will, get over it.
