He WILL be a great player. Of course hes inconsistent, hes still a novice in this league. Remember when he got injured last year and it took him weeks to regain form.

Absolutely bonkers post imo. Do you think that Utd didnt go through some irritation with Ronaldo before he became arguably the best player in the world??

The fact people are suggesting Naismith play ahead of him makes me further reach the conclusion that alot of evertonians know sweet FA about football.

Any other year we would have had enough points to have got CL last season with a side that had Ross behind lukaku with Naismith on the bench. Yet martinez and some fans seem to think peeing around with a winning formula is the best way to go and by how we have seen the results (bore draws against swansea and sunderland and barely scraping past a west ham side missing 5 key players at home)
 
Look at the likes of Paul Pogba, Regular for France and Juve, Beast of a midfielder and only one year older than Barkley, Ross is light years away from being at his level imo

He's not 17 or 18 ffs

The facts are there, last season we would have had CL in any other year, and ross and roms partnership was a big part of that with 2 wingers either side.

Now fans and martinez are advocating throwing this winning side out the window to fit a limited player in the side because of a few good performances whilst completely imbalancing the side, and the fact we are level with an awful spurs and only 3 above a crisis RS shows that we are going about it the wrong way.

true, but ross has only had one season of playing regularly and that double leg break hampered his development..we'll see I guess
 
We buzz of the Kopites for banging on about Sterling and his links with Madrid but do not hesitate to tell anyone who will listen that Barkley will be the best English player ever and 60m wouldn't buy him

Barkley was ace last season, His contribution of zero assists really helped our push for top 4

Aye but Barkley has missed a lot of his young career due to long term injuries. I don't know why you're comparing him to Pogba, or anyone else for that matter, he's his own player and will develop at his own rate. There's no doubt injuries have hampered him. He's still going to be an absolute beast for us, if he reaches his potential, he needs no more big injuries though.

"He's going to be a beast" then there is the IF because he may flop like Rodwell who all and sundry banged on about up until he left

Nothing to do with injuries he could play atsu out wide or Naismith but chooses to move barkley to accomodate said limited player.

After jelavic you would think fans would be wise to throwing all their faith in a player having a purple patch but it seems not.

The fact the lad had barely no pre season and missed 8 weeks with ligament damage and has been shoved out of position and is getting slated and called over rated is a disgrace. Same arse hole fans slate lukaku and up until this season mirallas whilst they rim the likes of osman and hibbo for "giving 110% for the shirt"

I hope the dark days of lie tie and pistone never come back as you lot will soon realise how lucky we are to have players of lukaku and barkleys ability at the club

It's as if Naismith didn't make over 30 league appearances last season..
