Ijjy the owls forum were buzzing with him when they won last week, they come across as very fickle and quite naive imo, not all of them but quite a few seem quite bulbish.

THIS! I posted some examples in the other Berkley thread last week, they were sucking him off. "best player on the park by a mile, world class, amazing control for an 18 year old, future England player" etc.
They also saod there were scouts from Reading and Arsenal there who were saying they have seen nothing yet about how good he is.

Speaking from experience Sheffield Wednesday fans are some of the most clueless you'll find on our shores.

Really not arsed what they say about an 18 year old playing out of position in a poor excuse for a football team.

them daft kunts worshipped howard fooken wilkinson and carlton palmer for years ,END OF ,clueless daft yorkshire tits

I watched that game and he was very quiet in an awful team. Wolves just kept coming at them... I thought it was great for Barkley because he was playing against last years Prem Players. Wolves always seemed to have that spare man though, I think Wednesdays tactics were wrong.

What I thought he did well was tracking his man, defensively he needs to work alot harder to stay in position and I thought he was trying hard to do that.

Looks to be putting on a few Kilo's aswell... lets not hope he goes the full Baxter.

Unless he does this he will never make in here at everton. moyes loves a hard worker.
you even see mirallas working hard to win the ball back sometimes. and i just knew he wouldnt be that type of player.
unless barkley can work hard in and out of possession he'll never make it under moyes.
that being said i really hope he does. he has loads of potential and could really be a star for us.

He might be a reincarnation of Riquelme. When he was with Boca, Carlos Bianchi realised he was never going to be a dfensively conscientious type but played to his strengths. He had Chichi serna who did the work of two and just told Riquelme to try and get between the ball and his goal when they didn't have possession. At Villarreal they had Marcos Senna doing a similar job to Serna defensively. I honestly believe that if a team is disciplined enough as a unit they can acommodate this type of 'luxury' player if that's what he's destined to be.
Unfortunately I don't think Moist believes that so Hopefully he will round off his game and end up being the star we all hope he can be in an Everton shirt.
