The most important thing is that he's getting game time. I doubt that him losing games is going to ruin his confidence, as long as he performs well and gets praise for it then it's the right thing for his development.

And i have to say that it was a wise choice from Moyes sending him on loan based on the squad we currently have. We've got plenty of options in his position of CAM as i don't think he's ready to be playing in the conventional central midfield role at the top level yet.

he was the most fouled player on the field last night. drawing 4 fouls. also managed to get off 3 shots. sounds like he may have been dangerous during this game.

This loan will do nothing for him at all he'd be just as well off on our bench rather than stay there and I advocated the loan at first. He'd be better of training with our sqaud given the morale boosting feel good football we are playing at the minute. I want him to get some game time on loan but not for that shower of ****e.

Half the muppets' who follow them are just as bad as half the fans on here who think at 18year old he should be man of the match dominating every game in CM. The sooner fans get a grip on reality and stop hyping the boy up to probably unattainable levels the better. I feel so sorry for the kid he's not being allowed to learn his trade without the weight of expectant fans bearing him down.

I think it's good to get into a scrapping side where things aren't going well, sink or swim, that kind of thing. Better than wrapping him in cotton wool and letting him waste away in the reserves.

Hopefully he'll come back with a better appreciation of where he might end up if he doesn't put in the hard yards.

He will be learning a hell of alot, more then he would in the reserves.

one of this best mates cuts my hair .. says hes just going round with scatty mates from by his , apprently buys them clobber to go out with him and that ( kid must be on money ) .. he just said he never see's him anymore ... don't think its jose baxter-esque like , but never good to have people who use you by your side

He is on 20k a week.

Yep, would have preferred him to go to a better quality side like Celtic if that was possible but he'll learn a lot there. Would hope we extend it at least until january.

What choice does the club have?
Barkley is a player coveted by plenty of other premiership clubs who would gladly pay him 20k per week and probably a lot more.
Everton were forced to pay the player or lose him...simple choice.

everything that is wrong with modern day football right there, he's on 20k a week and not even an established premier league player. Where's the hunger to succeed going to come from where's the desire to reach the top going to come from. British sport is making egotistical primadonna's of kids that have achieved absolutely zero in their chosen fields.
