Ross Barkley

I thought Gibson was most impressive. Authoritative. Everton looked a different type of side. Atsu kept buzzing about trying things and provided a significant cross. Barkley doesn't do that sort of thing, at least not at the moment.

Honestly, there's such a lot of talent in the squad it's just a question of getting the right blend and we're away.

He tried to pass forward which is something most of our players cannot do. Maybe we should adopt a new style of gk to cb to cb to lb to cm to cb to lb to rb to cm again ? Ohh wait a minute............. Im all for supporting any player that tries to take us forward, mistakes will happen, fecking about with it at the back is what has cost us so many points this season.

He was still cack. Good cross for the goal but don't think anything else came off.

If you are supporting attacking players then why not support Ross too?

Ross would be supported if he was able to show even ten percent of the talent he is supposed to have. But he hides...all the game...frightened to tackle and frightened to be tackled, all game avoiding any confrontatation and trying not to be anywhere were he might recieve a pass. And if he's 'unfortunate' enough to recieve the ball, he gets rid as quickly as possible in the simplest way possible ,without flair and without positive intention. He's either finished in the Prem, and has been over hyped because of a few magic moments, and has to buck his ideas up or really consider whether professional football at the top level is for him. Hope I'm wrong, but thats how I see it at present.

I think simply his confidence is shot to pieces.
You can hear the groans from certain elements of our crowd if he mis-places a pass.
Goodson is a unforgiving place if you become a scapegoat

Time and confidence are the two things he needs - this boy is class, just need to drag it out of him

I do support Ross but i am dissapointed by his performances this season, tactics, injuries and no confidence have hurt him this year.

Are there ANY players who were in last Summers England Eorld Cup squad, from any club, who are having a good season compare to last?

This is partly why I don't want our players picked for England....ever!

It's called confidence mate. He was rushed back from injury was poor and list confidence.

To suggest he is finished is beyond ridiculous

Here is some really bad news on Ross

sources understand that Man City's interest in Ross Barkley has cooled and Everton may not need to fend off offers this summer.

The Blues made the talented 21-year-old the highest-paid player at Goodison Park, on £65,000 a week, when he agreed to sign a new four-year deal at Goodison Park back in July last year.
Premier League champions City had a £25million approach dismissed out of hand, with Roberto Martinez quick to suggest the England international would only move away for double that figure.
Following an injury earlier in the season, Barkley's form has dropped off and there have been some concerned voices raised from the stands.
Everton have publicly insisted their youth graduate is not for sale, but sources for SiaS have been told they were privately expecting several offers from Premier League rivals this summer.

Weak source, and hes definitely not our highest paid player

Possibly the worst CM at the club

Gibson should start ahead of the lad

Can see him leaving in a few years for around 15m like Rodwell
