I m just hoping he will be good for next season . This was awful . If he come good next season that will be half of job for fight to CL place, becouse when he hit right form hes amazing. I wanna Lennon to stay and to play with two wingers or winger and wide Mid.. No Naismith carp anymore. But Barkley must be better.
He's much much better than Besic will ever be and his tattoos are less jarg too.

Sturridge is miles ahead of Ings, Austin and Berahino. Not his fault he's spent 5 months out injured. 4 goals in 7 starts isn't a poor record either.

Mr @Gil

I have a sneaky suspicion you have strayed from your path, that path being entirely without walls and lathered in dog poop

Any pro-Kopitery will not be tolerated by the Negatron

On Topic (Barkley):

Evertonian Indisputiably

If believing Sturridge is a better player than Ings, Berainho and Charlie Austin OR disagreeing with someone who groups Lampard/Gerrard together with Milner & Jenas makes me a Kopite..so be it I guess. Gerrard and Lampard have both consistently excelled at an even higher level than International football (Champions League) so their failures for England have absolutely nothing to do with their perceived lack of quality.

I'm a fan of football. Not a fan of football tribalism. The only team I have loyalties to is Belgium. Anyway, I'm not going to derail this thread even further so lets leave it at that.

Mate, I agree that Barkley is much biger talent then Besic , is that make me a Barkley fanboy? Anyway . can u refer your energy to something else then hounting me down on threads just becouse I think Besic is for 4 Mill great buy and could be great player for Everton in future, if he where to play course. I base that opinion on hes games on WC, on games in this Euro Q for Bosnia, and on some Everton games ( to add that it s hes first season in PL, coming from much, much lower quality league ,and first season playing DM- CM from CD witch is a big change and hes young). So i base my opinion on that and i think we have better chance making him in to a great player then buying a great player . You don't like him becouse some people like him from what i understan on Besic thread, and you find that talking about him is kinda wrong from us , so may I apologize for that. Now if we got this from the way ,maybe we can leave people to talk about Barkley on Barkley thread . Cheers!

Prior to joining United he was one of the top players in the world, hence why madrid fans and players were upset when he left and why he cost so much money. One poor season adapting to English football doesn't mean he's suddenly crap, he was awesome at Madrid.
There were many at RM who didn't rate him anywhere near as much as those outside the club did. Ex- managers/coaches frequently make references to his poor final pass at key moments.

With regard to the under 21s there'll be a whole load of unspoken reasons why some players will be allowed a break. Agents for the likes of Sterling and now Kane won't want to see their brands taking a step backwards. They're too big a name for the under 21s now. Honest guys who just want to play like Ross and Stones who could actually do with a break will get dragged in by the baying media into a group of players where they'll be a class above all of them.

Guarantee now that Sterling, Wilshere, Ox, Kane, Chambers, Shaw etc. will not be at the tournament.
Personally believe Kane is very likely to be part of the team. He was involved a lot in the qualification and think he wants to go and will try his best to force it through over any club objections.

Sterling, Wilshere and Ox haven't played for the U21s for a long time, don't think the first two would even want to go.

LVG has said in the past he wants Shaw to play for the U21s and the lad himself seems keen, the most likely reason he'll miss the tournament is that he'll be injured. Chambers has only just got his first cap for the U21s, Southgate would probably prefer to take him for depth but unlikely to kick up a fuss if Wenger doesn't want him to go.

Harsh that Eggs. Not because it's not true, but given the injury, the hype, the abismal management of him, and the team being relegation fodder for most the season. I think there's a lot more to blame this season than just a dip which is down to ross himself.

...perhaps I am being a bit harsh but I want him to be a top player. The truly top players I have seen are few and far between but they deliver at the toughest of times, regardless of other issues, regardless of age they have the ability to make things happen. I'm not putting Stones in that bracket, but he is developing in parallel, he has had injury problems and is playing in a struggling side but he came back and performed.

We all recognise the talent and we all want the same thing. Here's hoping eh.
