Just me that thought he played really well on Sat ???
I only saw the highlights of the first half however I did watch the 2nd half. I thought he was really good, worked hard defensively and played with directness and confidence.Just me that thought he played really well on Sat ???
I wasn't talking about his schooling.I think he went to public school.
Barkley reminds me a bit of Zidane as well but I agree we probably shouldn't make that comparison as Zidane is for me the best ever.I'm not sure you understand what you've done here...maybe you're just too young to understand the level of Zizou.
State your reasoningHe shouldn't have taken it. I wouldn't let him take a throw in.
Don't get the Lampard comparisons. Ross is the way better dribbler, faster and stronger but he isn't really comparable as a midfielder based on what we've seen so far.
Lampard had much better vision, passing range, movement, decision making & intelligence.
Barkley's physical tools are undeniable but he's massively overrated because of his un-English style of play. He's yet to show he has the skillset of a true #10. 1 assist in 60 odd games is terrible for an attacking midfielder.
You're joking right? Lampard was the number one playmaker for Chelsea for about a decade but he wasn't a great passer? His final pass was easily amongst the best of his generation.Lampard is not a great passer, and did not have the best vision.
He is great at shooting very hard, and arriving at the right time to slot.
Exactly why he would have been terrible outside of the Prem.

Hate to use a solitary clips but someone that supposedly isn't a "great passer" couldn't pull that off.

I mean he's 3rd in the all time PL assist charts for a reason lad.
Yet he was consistently excellent in the Champions League which is the echelon of club football. Not sure I understand your logic...
He'd do well to match the brain Lampard had. In terms of raw ability though you are right.ross is undoubtably more talented as a footballer than lampard or gerrard, whether he has the drive they had to succeed remains to be seen
yeah lampard knew the game, and knew exactly what he had to do to be a effective player with his talents, and he maximised those talents, if ross does the same he will be a better player, sticking on the left wing won't help that likeHe'd do well to match the brain Lampard had.
