There's no getting away from the fact that Ross didn't kick on this last season past. Is that down to a lack of ability? Just a bit of 2nd season syndrome? Or down to poor management?
Given the fact 90% of our first team were equally as average last season I think it's very harsh to judge him or single him out as having a bad season.
As for England..he changed the game vs Italy and against Ireland he tried 3 very unlucky defence splitting passes in 20 mins (only player in the whole game coming close to creating something). Should of done better with a couple of shots, and looked better on the ball than anyone else on the pitch.
Most the pundits all think he should be starting some games. Taking Everton form and the possible reasons for that out of equasion..... When your alternative's are Wiltshire, Henderson, Milner, Delph (ffs) Mason etc...I think they have a point.
Martinez gave him plenty of options and didn't coach him to blaze it into row z, miss 5 yard passes and look totally disinterested.
