Same with me? Do you know who I am LID? I'm the enigma, the bump in your nightmares mate, the premier league quality, xbox remote, elephant with four knees. You'd better watch it.

Oh and Get_Jo_Off? No need to get nasty kid, you been taking insulting tips off Tyson Fury? You're dangerous, you're quick, you come at us like a scouse bullet lad!

Grooming tips lid, lookin sharper than ever!

Wimbledon and stoke??

I'll raise you a tranmere Blackburn and crew!!

Don't know which are worst out of that lot! Ha..

No sob story's from me mind, I found beer, girls an partying along with the fact I ultimately wasn't good enough and gave up the serious side of footy!

Call them football teams lad, they don't even play long ball.

Barkley has already had invaluable experience this season,it will stand him in good stead for the future and will be a far better player when he comes back to us.

I just wish that Duffy and Garbutt were on championship loans as well.

you serious,

"Kid might have some talent but is not what we need at the moment. Too lightweight in the tackle, doesnt work hard enough when we dont have the ball and often gets caught in possession."

" MASSIVEly overrated. I'll get slated for this, but he's a luxury we can ill afford. He's clearly got talent and potential, but if he doesn't sort his attitude he won't make it at any level. Multiple times in each match he's watched players walk by him; he's a fooking centre midfielder but scared of the dirty work."

"Should go on Mastermind because he never passes. Not what we need let him go back. Jones should sign a proper experienced midfielder and not give his pals at Everton a foot up. Apart from the bollox to take the penalty not seen anything from him. Never played in a winning Wednesday team and for those saying not his fault, why??. Go figure."

Dont get me wrong there are some good comments aswell but I doubt he is getting "invaluable experience" "and will be a far better player when he comes back to us."

Blame Cahill for his comments on the kid and now over-rated cos the fans expected more.

Looking at the sides in the lower half of the league like the R/S and sunderland who should have decent propsects coming through, none of them have got a player that can touch Ross.

You seem to know his game inside out. Do you spend a lot of time watching kids?

we said the same thing about rodwell, "future england captain" "the next rio ferdinand(when he was good)" we have been here before.

seamus coleman ripped that league to shreads when he was playing for blackpool. the wednesday fans are already asking for barkley to be benched.

not just cahill, people like keown saying barkley will be one of the best players this country has ever produced doesent help.
we have all seen him play and know he still has a lot of work to do in certain areas of his game.
his problem is he thinks he is "too good" to do the off the ball work chasing the ball down, breaking up play ETC, and if you dont have that in your game moyes wont play him

Moyes likes his team to play in a certain way with high work rate, one of the reasons beckford was sold becuase he didnt like doing the donkey work, if barkley isnt careful moyes will wash his hands of him aswell.

rodwell was by far the best midfielder in england at 16/17, wilshire came and steamrolled him, you cant predict anything. mcclean came from nowhere and took the premier league by storm, sterling was in the reserve team until a few months ago and already has an england call up, thats how fast things change in football.

Rodwell has made his england debut before Parker, Gerrard, Carragher, Terry and a few others who have captained the national side. He's just gone to a club looking to win the CL in the next few years. Bit early to write him off.

There's not many better young players out there atm.

Hodgson said as much recently. Though he made a point of praising Shelvey, I assume he knows a bit about him having worked with him, saying he could go on to be the next Gareth Barry.

To be fair Wilshere was as highly rated as any england youngster for a long time. Only for an injury he'd have seen off Lampard and Gerrard in the England side.

Rodwell and Ross are both well on thier way to fulfilling thier potential. Not everything needs to happen today.

We don't want to ruin him because we expected too much too soon like the R/S have been doing for years.

I am not sure of what people's expectations of Barkley are.
I think that every young player we produce is compared to Rooney at the same age,and just about every player will not look well in that comparision. But then,Rooney at that age was a freak of nature. It could be said that Rooney at eighteen was at his peak, certainly he has never again imo had the same impact at international football as he had as a youngster. When you look at what Rooney was doing at eighteen you wonder just how much he has improved since that time.
Barkley's development is different and probably more gradual,it is not possible to tell how good a player he will be eventually. He has had difficulties with injuries and his form can be quite erratic. But we do see glimpses of what he can do,the ability is there, but not on a consistent basis.
Barkley has a better chance than most of being a top player, but there are no guarantees. The move to Sheffield is just a building block in his career.

I think Rodwell has had just enough time to step it up and never has. I think he is just overrated.

Maybe. He's ahead of the curve compared to a lot of his peers though. All players that come out of our youth system will be hyped, that's what happens when you produce a once in a generation player like Rooney.

I weren't expecting him to have made himself a full international by the time he was 20 though TBH.
