Ross Barkley

The loans the right thing for him at the moment and he will come back better for it no doubt but would of loved to have had him on the bench for the derby!!

Some quotes I've pulled from OwlTalk

Barkley's 2nd goal was tremendous. Crashed it in off his wrong foot from outside the box. He likes to be too much of a showman in our own half at times, but going forward that boy has so, so much talent. He could have had a hat-trick today after some wonderful skill to go past to or three defenders when it was still 1-0, but fired just wide as well.

Barkley different class. His second goal oozed class, just brilliant. Fantastic in possession, finds passes and is very positive on the ball, always looks dangerous with the ball at his feet. Some great tricks aswell, in the second half it seemed as if the ball had got away from him, but he recovered it superbly with a rabona (think that is what it's called) pure genius. One of the best footballers I've seen in a Wednesday shirt in a long long time.

Barkley was decent one minute, the next he's trying a needless flick in our own half, or holding onto the ball for that extra few seconds. It's great when it comes off but there is a time and place. But he scored two, played well and we won, so I'm not complaining.

Barkley showed glimpses of why Everton are talking him up! some of his skill and touches were class,

Barkley doesn't normally do tap-ins, but when he does, it's from 20 yards.

Dave jones interview after the game - "

"Barkley was taking too much time on ball (in first few games), Jay Bothroyd had a word"

"He's got it in him to play for England"

Afternoon,

Wednesday fan here, Ross Barkley is a cracking player, far far better than the Make A Wish foundation winner across Stanley Park, he has an eye for a pass and shows excellent close control, sometimes the game does pass him by but he's only 18 and that side of his game will develop with experience, i'm hoping we can keep him all season as i think it will be beneficial to both us and you as he'll grow as a player and come back to you lot a better prospect than if he just warms the bench or plays reserve team football.

Out of the two clubs I've always preferred Everton and miss my trips to Goodison, all the best.
