Ross Barkley

You can't store the guy in a bubble. Hopefully he gets a run against Tamworth and builds from that.

So tell me Matt, should he play youth or reserve football then? I fail to see how he's fit enough for a youth cup and reserve duty as a key player but isn't fit enough to play 20 minutes off the bench for the first team.

I'm not expecting an answer like.

Do you happen to know any professional footballers (under the age of 40) who's careers were ended by a double leg break?

I do.

Good for you. One case does not set precedent.

Just because it happens to someone does not mean it will happen to everyone.

Everytime any player steps onto the field he accepts the risk his career could end at any time due to random freak events occurring.

The point is, we are going to let Barkley rot on the bench, and then still run the risk of injury. So, net, we are still in the same place. Sh*te on the field.

Do you know any players who have managed to play tens of games at full fitness without any recurring trouble with a leg break who've had their careers ended by it?

I don't.

Thats a very very good sign. If it were true. Because it isn't.

He turned his ankle in training in July 2011.

The longer he goes without major incident. The better. The more likely we'll see him play - regularly - when he's ready.

His ANKLE. A twisted ankle. Utterly unrelated to his leg breaks and he was out for about two weeks and fit enough to start against QPR.

Do yourself a favour. For once, just admit you're talking pure bollocks.

So to clarify Damon thinks that he had less chance of getting injured against QPR annd Blackburn than against say Bolton tonight

But being Damon he can not back up his thinking with a straight response because on the whole hes a bad tit

What has that got to do with your 'double leg break' argument?

NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am considering cutting and pasting more '!!!!'s! for effect.

1. Yes he will play a full season; if he escapes injury

2."I think under the guidance of David Moyes, Ross Barkley will develop into a superstar who will play a full season for Everton...." - I stand by that and you can add that to the vaults.

3. No. I'm only interested in Everton. Meaning Barkley, Everton and anyone else we bring through which is more likely if our club does the above see point 2.

4. Rubbish statement re: Moyes ruining Barkley.

Thanks for clarifying that Matt. I feel you're going to be heartbroken when we sell him to Citeh for 18million after playing him for a total of 79mins in his Everton Career.

I honestly hope YOU are right. I'd love to be wrong, as what you've just stated is what i'd love to happen re: him being a superstar.

But i can't honestly look in the mirror and say that to myself. It feels delusional, unless a zillionaire comes in and buys us, which i also feel is delusional.
