Great to see him putting in a defensive shift whilst its great to see him score I don't think any of us had many worries on his attacking abilities it was his defensive abilities that needed to be improved so to hear tha he's dropping back, covering loads of ground and putting in vital tackles to me means just as much as a goal.

ok, may not have made so much sense what i previously wrote but the point i make is a valid one i think. If he proves to be as good as his talent/potential suggests then he'll most likely reach his peak at one of the manchester clubs. Thats why I refuse to get excited about him, no matter how talented he is. The speculator in me jsut came up with the idea of us getting a fat, past-it Rooney from Man U in return for him.

He may not necessarily "do a Rooney" and leave before he peaks. The lad hasnt even played for us properly yet, ffs !!! If he eventually "does a Rodwell" though, he can by all means do the offski to Citeh...for 25m !!

Why mate?

We've got a boss team, a good manager and players, when they eventually break through, get a chance with us. Plus he's got the crowd behind him and if he's as much an Evertonian as most of us he'll be desperate to be an Everton hero.

He might leave one day if he fulfils his potential but he might also push our club forward. I don't see the need to constantly put us down as if any player can't wait to leave us for another team. Baines has proven that it's not true. It could easily be the same for Ross.

It's time Evertonians started taking a bit of pride in the club instead of constantly talking like we're West Ham.

Moyes has only sold two players he really wanted to keep in his time IMO. We know it's sell to buy and will likely carry on that way, but, we also know Moyes is good at getting decent money for players he doesn't really want.

He might get a massive ego and get his head turned, he might be a very humble kid that loves the game and the club.
 
too early to tell might be a great player might also end up in the championship.

barkley should be carrying that sheffield wednesday side, he should be as valuable to them as coleman was to blackpool when he was on loan.
