Ross Barkley

You're spot on mate. Barkley was ready to be introduced the season he played the friendly against Villareal. He was thrown into oblivion after the Blackburn game. I hadnt seen more potential in any of youth players since Rooney in what I seen in Ross then. If he had been kept in the first team from then till now, who knows where he'd be at now. All i do know is he'd have alot more premiership experience.

Brennan cant seem to get it into his head that nobody wants to see Hitzlsperger or Neville in the middle anymore because they offer diddly squat. I had the same discussion with him a couple of months ago.
I've seen a lot of Barkley over the last few years. He should have been starting games for us by now. I'm not saying start him in games against the bigger teams away, but certainly in games at home against lower sides.
At the start of the season the lad was talking about how he cant wait to score in front of a home crowd. He really believed he had a shot at getting into our team. Then all of a sudden hes sent out on loan to a poor side, brought back and benched. Then sent out again to a poor side with a manager who plays kick and run football.

You play based on their ability and readiness, apparently the person who sees him week in week out (not you) thinks he isn't ready.

Think Moyes really believed his squad (without Barkley) was more than good enough for the Champions League spot. Based on the end of last season and the addition of Mirallas. I really believe he thought he'd cracked it. Stubborn as he is, he had his squad an this season Barkley wasnt part of it.

I think Moyes is trying to do the loans because its worked for the majority of top players in the past. Beckham, Lampard etc. but then theres the likes of Steven Gerrard who didnt need it. We should treat Ross as our Gerrard

Edit: and what burst Moyes bubble this season is Jelavics lack of goals!!!!

Moyes is a stubborn cart and he isnt using him because hes being too safe this season and thats that! Hes not willing to take any risk! Look at his team selections all season!

Think it's probably more likely that he's just not ready. Which he showed in the Chelsea game.

But looked more than comfortable in the Stoke game. You're baseing him not being ready on the one mistake of losing the ball in a poor position when our hole team where looking for a goal and attacking.

But someone like Distin who is ready and experienced makes a much worse mistake than Ross in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

1 bit of skill doesn't make a player mate. Even a non league player can nutmeg a defender and shoot, doesn't mean hes ready to start for Barcelona.

So Hitzlsperger, a man who has 50 odd caps for the German national team and was only put out of action at the top level because of an injury has 'zero ability'. Okay.

Nope, i'm not basing it on him losing the ball once, he looked uncomfortable.

I'm basing it on the fact we signed a finished german player who has had more minutes than an attacking talent even though we've been craving something different attacking wise for months.

What makes you think he's the best attacking talent we've been craving for months?
