Wheres the Fellaini money Kenada?
This sniderman, snidepire is a funny character isn't he. *sprays web and scampers down dark alley*
Snidepire?!
You haven't seen anything in him, so you're dismissing him. I have, so I'm bigging him up.
They're opposites, but the same approach. You're saying he's "nowhere near the first team" based on the exact same things as I've seen. So when you're telling me to stop "hyping him up" or whatever, I can legitimately tell you to "stop saying he's crap".
But I don't, because it's opinion. Hence the sentence "the reason I'M a "Barkley Believer". I believe he's going to be a very good player. And as we're on an Everton forum discussing Everton players, I'm simply contributing to a discussion on him.

You made reference to the crowd's reaction to Barkley during his first proper game, it was a reaction based on hype that surrounds him to this day. You then suggested that this reaction was some kind of a talent indicator. I personally find this to be a bit ridiculous.
No problem with you thinking his performances since then are worthy of a place in the first team, I just disagree as you said. I never said he was crap, I said he isn't ready for the first team yet, and that living up to the hype has yet to be showcased.
I also think that you pay little attention to some of the mistakes he has made. Yes, everyone makes mistakes and he is only young, but I'd rather he made them somewhere else where he is still developing and learning the game.
Moutsgoat, are you gonna take that ****? Sniderman??
Anyway Barkley, for me, is going to be top class for us. Been amazed he hasn't been on the bench last few games, agree that moyes should play him more but thats his over cautious mentality. Neville can't go on forever davie
No, not at all, it was a reaction to his performance on the day. He was very, very good against QPR. If you won't take my word for it, look up the reaction to his performance from pundits all over the shop on the day. Comfortably man of the match by some distance. Yes, it's one game, but it's not like everyone was creaming over him because of the press beforehand and disregarded his actual performance. It's a talent indicator because he showed himself to be able to dominate a game of football over 90 minutes (albeit an absolutely terrible overall game) - not sure what else you can glean from a performance. You have to take encouragement from that; you can't fluke what he did that day.
I don't think he's ready to start in the first team, and I'd laugh at anyone who claimed that he definitely should be replacing a senior player week in week out, but as I said earlier I'm pretty confused why he isn't in and around the first team squad on a more regular basis -
If he's on the bench when we're 2-1 down and out of ideas, we have a ready made "Plan B" in the offing, just like we did when Rooney announced himself against Arsenal and Leeds. Yes, different players obviously, but the comparison is in their raw talent.
He's just scored a great goal for the under 21s to help turnaround a 2-0 defeat to a 3-2 win - surely having that option on our bench is beneficial?
I almost commented on this before, it's ridiculous to apply an event that happened in a Under 21 game as an 'option' to bring off the bench in a Premier League match. It really does not work like that.
The domination of QPR that you talk of, I don't think it was as extensive as you make out, and it just seems weird to focus on that when there have also been a number of occasions in which he has been found wanting. I just think he looks like he still has an awful lot to learn, and that he has plenty of time to do it.

But 17-year-old Ross Barkley started, and shone, in midfield while playmaker Mikel Arteta and Maroune Felliani sat on the bench.
Following inventive jinking work from Barkley, Baines then curled an almost perfect free-kick over the wall, but his effort crashed down off the bar.
"Ross [Barkley] should be proud of the way he played today, the way he took responsibility on the ball. He was terrific. He was the one who looked likeliest to craft a chance today." - David Moyes
