Moyes wasn't just 'dropping' him. He made a pretty vital defensive mistake, whether they scored or not is irrelevant, so Moyes sent him away to work on the defensive side of his game, so he can become a good all round player. Good management IMO.

With that logic then, why hasn't he dropped Howard this season? Neville? Heitinga? Osman? Jelavic?

To almost completely exile a young player for one mistake was a mistake in my opinion.

I don't want a place in this debate but when you use stuff like that it's inflammatory mate. It's possible to have a difference of opinion without insulting the other person, unless you know them pretty well in which case it's open season.
