Nothing would please me more than to give Moyes credit for Rooney, but Wayne Rooney made Wayne Rooney the player he is.

You dont find players like Rooney all the time, they are special players and come along very rarely.

In principle, I agree with Stend on this one. But don't forget Moyes nurtured the best talent this country's produced in the last 15-20 years so he knows what he's doing, there's a r eason he's not playing and all we can do is trust him.

He didnt nurture him.
If anything he held him back a little (at first). It was the fact that he was THAT good that he had to start playing him. He won games against. Arsenal, Leeds and Villa himself. Moyes was always trying to keep him out of the limelight. Under Moyes only a couple of youth players have ever made it. Whether that's because others wernt good enough or they just wernt coached properly is another argument. However in the end it's usually the players themselves who force the issue. However they need opportunities.

Maybe, just maybe, the fact he's still so young means there's little point playing him now. I watched an interview with Michael Owen yesterday where he said playing about 200 games before he was 19 was part of the reason he burned out at the end of his career. We should be patient.

Maybe, just maybe, we should trust the people who see Barkley play every day in training etc...
