Ross Barkley

Not really. Barkley should be replacing Osman as I've said for ages. Fellaini is a different kind of player, all together.

Barkleys preferred position is behind the striker and that's where Fellaini plays, (although he prefers to play deeper I think), Ossie plays deeper and that's why Moyes went in for Fer.

Thought he was a lot better yesterday. I noticed when he minced Arteta he started to drop deeper and deeper just for a touch of the ball, his confidence had gone up that much. Still a bit rough around the edges like, but he has heaps of talent. And how much power did he get in that shot?

Position, schosition. Different kind of players.

If Barkley's behind the striker, you'll want a different two man midfield behind him than if felli's there.

Is it a coincidence that we were under constant pressure at the end just after Barkley went off?.. probably but Barkley played well some nice touches.

I was very pleased with Barkley last night and he will only get better as he plays more games and gets more experience and confidence.

What,I don't understand is why people have to try to build up Barkley by knocking Osman.Osman has had a wonderful season for us and is a delightful player. He is a different player to Barkley and even physically they are totally different.Next season we will see a lot of Barkley, but it won't be at the expense of Osman, they will play together and compliment each other.

Everybody is entitled to their opinon but I find it hard to understand people who cannot see what Osman brings to our team.

I am not as down on osman as chang or fox are.

I like the guy and I think he's done well both in CM and in the number 10 role. But he's been substandard since january and he's badly needed dropping and resting.

It's just somewhat frustrating that we've had a more than adequate replacement on the bench and have instead overused osman to the point of exhaustian, injuries and falling standards.

Played well but needs to keep things simple when nothing on instead of turning in to trouble. This will come with experience.

Providing he improves his awareness and keeping the ball could be our answer to CAM position deserves a start against Sunderland with felli back in cm

Excellent post

Barkley showed glimpses of quality, but also demonstrated why I think Moyes has been reluctant to use him.

He made some poor decisions at times & got caught in possession or gave the ball away.

The lad is undoubtedly a talent & needs game time to improve, but I still think he'd benefit from a long term loan move to play every week for a few months.
