Unless gibbo is out I'd have him on the bench in the derby. You need experienced heads in such a game....having said that experienced heads have hardly helped us in the past derby's...

Get Ross on moyles!!!!!

I wouldn't start him in the derby personally. It will be a high intensity game and I could see that lot going out of their way to make things a bit horrible for him. I'm looking at you Steevie Me.

I dont no i would start him he has started big games agaisnt arsenal and spurs where we had something to play for so i would think he could handle pressure and with him being a local lad he would like to win it . If gibbo is fit put ross on the bench for when osman gets tired around 60 minute mark

As long as he goes through Gerrard, Carragher or Sturridge I don't care if he gets sent off.

Osman got tired around the 10th minute mark yesterday.

...jury is still out on this boy, but for the first time he demonstrated something against Arsenal. I listened to Wenger last week singing his praises so I'm not quite giving up yet. Thinking about next Sunday, its odd that Barklay hasn't scored his first senior goal and perhaps its fate that it might happen in the Derby - difficult to see him starting but perhaps he might pop up with a last minute winner. Stranger things have happened!!

It isnt odd he hasn't scored. He's barely been given any time on the pitch. Unlucky yesterday, should have put his foot through it I thought.

He signed his first pro contract in December 2011.

First team appearances : 13

He hasn't had enough playing time to be thinking its odd he hasn't scored. It doesn't matter to me if he doesn't score, I would love him too but he plays very well and he's a strong midfielder. I wanted him to put his foot through the ball yesterday but to be able to go for a classy finish with a man on your back is talent.

We haven't seen nothing yet, 2-3 years when he's a first team regular and playing for England. That's when we will see the very best of him and he'll get better and better. He has an incredible future if he's not hampered by injuries.
