Ross Barkley

United haven't the money to buy him.

Would need to be 80 million plus. They don't have that spare.

Their accounts would imply there is some, but I don't think its as much as they make out. And let's be honest as long as the lad wants to stay and if the asking price is anything above £30m he won't go as I can't usually see anyone spending that much money on someone who's in his first season of regular PL footie (albeit a very impressive one), but the same was said about andy Carroll a few years ago so if the mancs are desperate (and they do need a central midfielder) I wouldn't be shocked if they made a massive bid for ross

Moyes would have to be pretty dim to bid for another Everton player.

Obviously Leighton and Ross are total class, but Moyes needs to get his supporters onside, he won't do that by fishing at his old club again, especially seen as Fellaini is now regarded as overpriced.

Baines and Barkley are going nowhere in January. My sauces tell me Baines has never asked for a transfer and never will (he's as blue as Ross is).

Regarding a bidding war for Barkley in the summer, we have to make sure we've tied him down with a major new contract before the Spring starts.

You're assuming barkley would want to go there and Everton would be prepared to sell to them.

United fans would love it if Moyes went in for Barkley, they've been bumming him on Red Cafe for months.

I'd be very surprised if he wanted to go there seeing as their manager loaned him out to the championship twice last season when he could have played a fair bit. But as we all know, money talks and all that and if the numbers are good enough for bill and Ross then a deal can be done (did anyone really think Carroll wanted to leave Newcastle)

*not that I think barkley will leave in january

Except clubs use their local paper for stories like this (can remember silva to city in the MEN a good few weeks before the national papers), so wouldn't be shocked if they want him. Reckon if the first offer is £35m then bill will try to hold out like with Fellaini and lescott to get something like £45-50m, and seeing as the mancs are desperate to make a big signing or two in January then bill will think he can shaft them again

Or they made it up and used some tenuously linked quotes about strengthening to bolster the story. I can name a lot more than one example of that happening.
Wouldn't worry. He's not going to United.

wouldn't sell anyone to them ****s, he's staying put and if he ever did push to leave £80 million to city, Chelsea or abroad no on else

this is 100% correct. Manc fans are drooling over getting the next big thing to team up with Junazaj (spelling?) and lead Man U into the future.

Bless them they still think they are living in the Fergie era with a brilliant team and the chance of winning stuff. When Rooney joined, he was looking at the prospect of playing with Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Solskjaer etc and Challenging for the PL and CL regularly. Why would Barkley want to go and play with Wellbeck, Cleverley, Jones, Smalling, Evans etc?

Rooney wont sign a new deal and will be off, their only (once) World Class players are at the end of their careers and then they will be left with a lot of average players and a couple of quality youngsters playing dull, safe football under Moyes. Im sorry but where is the appeal? Man U don't have the same pull anymore now that Fergie has gone, the fans need to realise this and stop making fools of themselves.

i can see it already

Moyes 'alright kenwright ive had enough of you overpricing these players, he's worth no more than 10 mil ok, there you go can i have him now'

Kenwright 'nah'

Moyes 'fine ill go to 12 mil but thats my final bid, you know its a good deal'

Kenwright 'hmm, pass'

Moyes 'alright you drive a hard bargain 4 mil + fletcher, you know fletcher is 10 times better than that baldy lid'

Kenwright 'erm...sorry dave'

Moyes 'ffs kenwright your a moron, this is why i left you made stupid decision like this, your gonna regret it man, cant wait to stuff yers at goodison with an anderson winner stick yer boys pen up yer arse'

5 min later

Moyes 'How about 5 mil + Rafael then?'

Kenwright 'Sorry dave but he's not for sale'.
