Not out of 8 clubs, out of the four champions league club and you can add Phil Jones, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Chris Smalling to that. The big clubs risk their young players and we don't. Isn't it pretty clear that they are the ones doing better?

Hmmmm to be fair Ox went out to Southampton first, and Smalling / Jones were starting for other prem teams before the big teams bought them ..

Most are, yes. N'zonzi is 23 or something, but he's been given regular starts, maybe not every week at first but SOME starts, for the last 3 or so seasons. De Gea is 21, Phil Jones is 20, Smalling is 21 or 22, but he's been playing solid and for the last season or so, The Silva's are about 20, Gibbs is 22, Alex Ox is 13 or so, Ramsey is 21, Romeu is 20, McEachran is 19 or 20, Richards - I already said it.

This is mostly off the top of my head checking players.
so they're not all 21 and under
Are they playing every week in the premier league?

I believe every single one of them has more appearances this and last season than our "promising youths".

This season Rodders was injured a lot, true, but given the partnership success of Fellaini and Gibson, do you think he would've played?

And off the top of my head, only Nzonnzi was brought thru.

De gea 20m
Phil Jones 18m
Alex Ox 12m
Smalling 12m

Which is why I said at the bottom, that if they're not good enough, they're not good enough.

But if you're telling me Moyes would play a youngster over a Neville or Hibbert etc no matter how good he was in a big game, then I haven't seen it.

Where as at United, Fergie has no problem playing youth in massive champos league games and derbys.

The only way to find out if they're good enough is to throw them in at the deep end

Again id disagree with that mate, he plays them in early group stages in the CL not the massive games.

As for Neville and Hibbert - two players who i think get a lot of unjustifiable stick. Isnt that how Coleman got his chance and took it, against Lisbon - despite a shocking performence.

Thing is i think your wrong about throwing them in is the only way to find out if they are good enough - its the only way for the fans to know, which is were this all comes from for me - im pretty sure working with the players day in and day out the management team will have an idea of who can cut it and not. To hint there is an underlying problem for me is unfair, plenty of youngsters above average for me have been given first team oppurtunites, they have proven potnetial - but have the proven enough to be earning starts - not for me. Again id say who do you drop.

Barkley and Duffy is prob the only one id give anything close to run of 5+ games on the trot to at the moment.
