Ross Barkley

There's not a midfielder in the league that scares teams like Barkley does when he runs at them, even the City midfield could not live with him, he can do it on his own, he's a rare talent, we need to get some money in, build a team around him, Coleman, McCarthy and Stones.

I'm not sure he on the same wave length as Lukaku. What type of striker would suit Barkley

Toure.

I think Barkley will either end up as a centre midfielder or a striker, no way he'll be an attacking mid for more than 2 more seasons.

It was weird on Saturday I reckon though because he didn't seem to be right behind Lukaku or deep next to McCarthy. It was like he had a proper free role through the middle and he just flourished. A proper joy to watch he was.

Sterling is an exciting player, but you'd never swap him for Barkley let's be honest.

Barkley has the X factor, and will be a world class player.

The sooner we hear he's tied to a long term contract the better.

He's ours, and unlike Rooney, he seems as though he loves the blues as much as we do. Get him tied down!!

LOLing here at RAWK thinking they will sign him in the summer - apparently he was the only one trying against City to seal his move to the RS.

I don´t know about the rest of you, but I haven´t given any transfer speculation around Ross a moment of thought.

I don´t know why, but im 100% sure this kid will be with us a long long time. We are going places and I don´t see us as needing to sell whereas it was expected under Moyes.

We may not achieve everything he would aim for, but it seems clear to me that Bobby believes he is building a team/squad to challenge for the league. That would be the first time I´ve even considered that possibility without laughing since I was a kid in the 80s.

I don´t think other teams spending money automatically makes this impossible, and call me naive but I don´t think Ross, Stones and Coleman to take some examples would want to move anywhere else.

(the one disclaimer is that lets see if we actually spend reasonably big without selling, as that would be a huge indicator that things are different now..)

Agree with all of that.

Ross, Seamus, Stones, none of them are going anywhere soon.
