Ross has also had a different career path to this point as well - bad injury and then not trusted by Moyes. Think he'll be a bit more appreciative of Martinez's confidence in him and regular game time than Rooney who never experienced that till later when Ferguson shunted him everywhere.

Maybe if Ross, Stones, Coleman, McCarthy, Mirallas and all these other players who are supposedly too good for us performed a bit better they would have champions league football at Everton. Amazing how many players there are in the squad who consider themselves good enough for the champions league yet when you put them all together theyre not good enough to get there. Funny that.
