UEFA isn't FIFA. Platini will make sure FFP works. The big European teams control UEFA.
Plus there's no such thing as cemented in the top 4, Liverpool where one of the Top 4 and then dropped down. Utd last season also dropped down. Even Chelsea dropped down but got lucky as that was the year they won it.
There's 5 teams not including us or Spurs who can all compete financially with each other. One will drop out.
There's no guarantee City will finish in the top 4. Your spending will be limited due to FFP, Aguero is crocked and Toure is looking out. Next season will be very interesting.
Aguero is crocked? Haha. Read it all now. Toure is looking out, which is why City are circling Barkley. Not that we'll get him, but it should give you an indication of what type of player will replace him.
City and Chelsea are a million miles away from dropping out of the top 4. Liverpool, United, and Chelsea have all done it during times of transition when their squads weren't good enough to finish in the top 4.
The obsession some of you have with FFP is proper depressing. You really don't see how it's been created to keep teams like you in your place rather than trying to punish those clubs already in the CL. Platini brokered the deal between the Qatari's and PSG. In exchange for Qatar buying Paris, Platini promised them his vote for the WC, and the French government dished out tax exempt investment options. This is all well documented throughout the French press. Baring that in mind, if you think that Platini is now going to start kicking clubs like PSG out of the CL then you're severely deluded.
We like it in our place, we've been successful for a long time in our place. Our place has class, dignity and tradition. Cast your mind back, you had a place like ours once - but you sold it. We only sell our players...you sold Manchester City
No. No interest in them or that.
Buying a load of fairly talented athletes for stupid sums of money is all well and good. Winning things and gathering a few more blurt fans to sell your jarg shirts to in far flung bogholes is ok too. What you've basically done is almost catch up with Chelsea. It's alright. You've fallen foul of ffp this year but you haven't really "cheated". You've spent the most money, bought the best team (there or there abouts) and won the league.
To say that is what we want is way off. You have always wanted to be someone else. We don't. We do things our way.
Of course we want to win the league. With a home grown team, the odd £60k right back, the occasional purchase, in a battered old stadium, full of snarling lids.
Enjoy your franchise's time in the sun you scruffy little flid. Manchester is full of [Poor language removed].

We say that but footballers are overpaid mercenaries anyway, whether that be 30K PW or 300k PW.I just dont see how it can be enjoyable to cheer on a team full of overpaid mercenaries with the best players psychological issues beinf highlighted every season (Toure?!).
I actually think after the first year if that was us then the novelty value would wear off.

Sorry they never had a club like ours. They still don't.
We've won the league 9 times.
And one day Mansour will walk & then where will they be?
Heard the same about Roman for the last 10 years.
