Don't recall Ross doing any full press conferences before - just post match interviews and sit downs with print journalists.

Came across as nervous but very genuine in his love for the club.

It was an unusual way to announce a contract extension but perhaps Martinez wanted to emphasize to Ross how important he is to the club. Also means that if we sign Lukaku in a club record deal with full court press in the next few days, Ross will still have had his moment in the sun.
