Think this injury makes it more likely that Lukaku will play tomorrow to be honest. Naismith plays best behind the striker anyway. If we start with Naismith up front and Osman behind him I think we'll struggle.

Yeah but getting lucky with injuries isn't just not getting them, it's getting them to the "right" people, and at the right times.

Lallana went down for 8 weeks, but it was several weeks before the season, so he'll miss less games, and he also won't hurt them too much by not being there.

The equivalent of Ross's injury for them would be Sturridge (their one position with minimal cover) going down for 8 weeks

Well yeah, so they do get long terms injuries to key players. That was my point: they're not lucky and injuries like that do happen.

Eh? So That was my point though - Lallana isn't a "key" player for them... he's an expensive player. Not the same thing.

Sturridge is a key player, because he's quality AND someone that can't be easily replaced by similar or better.
