Eh? So That was my point though - Lallana isn't a "key" player for them... he's an expensive player. Not the same thing.

Sturridge is a key player, because he's quality AND someone that can't be easily replaced by similar or better.

I was addressing the fact that they're not lucky with injuries. Lallana probably is and will be an important player for them yet and picked up a serious injury in pre season that will see him miss the start of the season, so I used him as an example. He's not as important as Barkley is to us, as I said, but they did just spend £27m on him and now he's had no pre-season.

I have that gut wrenching feeling I normally getbjust as the whistle blows and we have lost a game. I know getting that feeling is bad when you loose the first game of the season but getting it on the Friday night before the season starts? But all will be well if/when we win tomorrow and Lukaku gets two.

I'm more concerned about our build up play. We struggled with this part of our game in preseason, with Ross. If the supply line between our defense and midfield is poor, all of the attacking talent in the world will be worth f-all.

that would be fun !,don't see it myself though,is Gibson available,he'll be the better passer i'd have thought.
