Apologies if it's been discussed already - but I caught a bit of Dave Jones' interview on Talksport breakfast the other day, he said that he, and Paul Wilkinson (former toffee Paul Wilkinson I presume?) had been at Finch Farm. I can only imagine this was to check out possible loans, and the Wednesday fans here in Sheffield have been talking about Barkley and/or Vellios joining for a season.

Would be a great move for both IMO. Vellios looks ready but wont get enough games, and Barkley looks far from Premier League ready. He needs to get out there playing, and an horrible league like the championship will be perfect for him - and Wednesday are a proper club to go to.
 
Is he off to Blackburn on loan as part of a deal for someone coming our way? Good or bad? Certainly with the all comings he wont be getting much time on the first field.
 

Sheffield Wednesday tweeted earlier saying a transfer deadline announcement was close...could be Barkley on loan? Although he could move on loan for another month to a championship team can't he?

Bit harsh. I'm a massive Ross Barkley fan but it's clear to see he's not ready for starting week in week out for us yet. He needs mins on the pitch and not just 10-15 mins coming off our bench!

He needs to get out of the everton bubble and go and play some competitive football where points are at stake. Even if just for 2 or 3 months.
