Ross Barkley

Sounds like Ron wants this settled sooner rather than later, probably wants to publicly state he's off and start the circus. If he is off, it needs to be done ASAP, we can't afford a summer long soap opera to disrupt the transfer dealings that need to be completed. Bye Ross lad. :bye:
Yeah. One way or the other, get it done.

I'd like to see our business done early for both ins and outs.

This never had to be done in front of the worlds media.

I'm sorry, but this really is ridiculous. This is ego over the club - no matter what, he shouldn't be making comments like this about a valuable asset for the club as a business, as it devalues the asset.

Disagree totally. He's calling out the players who didn't put in a shift, and haven't been away from Goodison for some time. What do you expect him to say when he's specifically asked about Ross? "He played well today and created lots of chances"? We had enough of smoke being blown up player's backsides by El Fraudo. Ron is telling it like it is, and I applaud him for that.

BAHAHAHAHA

He only put him on because they were down to 10 men!!! He turned up with a negative line up, 2-0 down, throws on a player he's publicly slated, then says "he didn't do enough"

Wow.

Context Tubes.

Yeah, still he's chosen the Barkley question to make the point that he needs other players who offer something different.

And that's completely fine, but he could have said it without singling out Barkley yet again, because he's making it abundantly clear he doesn't value the asset and therefore the asset can be acquired on the cheap.

It's not the way to do things. If he wants rid, honestly fine, but pretend you want to keep him and force a club to go the extra mile to get his contract. It's what we've done with players over the years like Rooney, Lescott, Stones, Jeffers etc. and worked well - the difference this time is an egotist manager is putting his own ego over smart transfer policy.

Agree with this. We had to much of that the last 3 seasons.

Whatever Ross decides, we need to strengths the position. Move quickly this year and stop faffing about.

Ronny K cares not for playing the game.

But that's just him, that's his personality and everybody will just have to like it or lump it. If the board don't like the way he handles things they can always sack him.

Koeman done exactly the same with Niasse. As soon as he got his foot in the door he publicly said he wasn't good enough and part of the plans. Not exactly a good tactic to get decent money back on a 13 million signing.

But as I say, we all know the way he is and the way he works by now.

LOL

nothing has changed in the way we deal with transfers. we havent got anyone new in, bar walsh, to over see the deals .. its still left with elstone and kenwright.

im expected a couple more out and maybe 2 or 3 in. and it will take right up until the window shuts to get them done.

the players we will be after will also have 10-15 other clubs across europe after them. they will sit it out all summer, unless they really want to join us, thats a rare thing thesedays tho.. and wait for the best offer as clubs get desperate.

regards ross, i honestly dont see what club above us wants him. if he does manage to get a move to a higher placed club then im afraid it will be abackward step, as there is no way he will be playing 38 games a season. probably more like 10 with a few sub appearences.
