Ross Barkley

Absolutely nothing wrong with those quotes at all. If anyone seriously thinks the board have done their job properly, and Barkley, Valencia, and Mirallas as our creative force is acceptable, then you need to look at yourself.

Ronko wanted Valencia and gave Mirallas a 3 year deal though....

LOL

nothing has changed in the way we deal with transfers. we havent got anyone new in, bar walsh, to over see the deals .. its still left with elstone and kenwright.

im expected a couple more out and maybe 2 or 3 in. and it will take right up until the window shuts to get them done.

the players we will be after will also have 10-15 other clubs across europe after them. they will sit it out all summer, unless they really want to join us, thats a rare thing thesedays tho.. and wait for the best offer as clubs get desperate.

regards ross, i honestly dont see what club above us wants him. if he does manage to get a move to a higher placed club then im afraid it will be abackward step, as there is no way he will be playing 38 games a season. probably more like 10 with a few sub appearences.

I think he'd just be happy to get away from Koeman.

But that's just him, that's his personality and everybody will just have to like it or lump it. If the board don't like the way he handles things they can always sack him.

Koeman done exactly the same with Niasse. As soon as he got his foot in the door he publicly said he wasn't good enough and part of the plans. Not exactly a good tactic to get decent money back on a 13 million signing.

But as I say, we all know the way he is and the way he works by now.

Niasse was damaged goods before Koeman arrived. His approach to that was perfect because there was no downside and it sent a message about the required quality to play for him.

World of a difference with Barkley. The asset is valuable and would have been a prized commodity if we made it look like we actually prized his contract.

Lets see how much he sells for before we cry about the fee.

But whatever the fee, you will no doubt say we could have got more.

You act like the whole of football doesnt know how much Barkley is worth, some Dutch fella spouting tosh on the tele wont change that.

You seriously think those were his first choices???

Thank goodness we have a manager who calls crap out for the crap it is.

No, but he pinpointed Valencia and said yes to getting him in. He's also agreed Mirallas' deal.

The feller has the biggest ego at the club and is gonna spend the biggest transfer kitty we've ever had. He doesn't get anywhere near a trophy next season, he's fluffed his job big time IMO

I'll say now what the fee should have been if you like - £40m.

Let's see what we get.

The decision to leave would have been made ages ago. So this deadline is nonsense to me as the player and club already know the fate

Rather than Ross call the shots Kidman should come out and say the contracts been withdrawn and make Ross look the fool instead of him making us look stupid

Damned if you do and damned if you don't, Everton have played this right, offered the contract and kept it open, withdrawing before season end would have made Barkley the martyr to the (some) fans. Keeping him playing and get as many pounds as possible if he won't resign. Barkley is in the Shaqiri stable of attacking footballers, moments of brilliance yet never consistent.

Possibly. The little baby wants to be told he's doing great all the time, when in fact he's stinking the place out.

Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out, Ross.

That's what's called man management.

He's done better than the entire squad bar Lukaku. If that's stinking the place out...its gonna hum in the summer when they're both gone.

Possibly the weakest player we have, can't step up when the going gets tough. Nice lad boyhood blue etc. but part of the dreadful mentality at Everton right now. We will be better off without him.

I like to agree with that last bit. But it depends entirely on what signings we make. If we don't strengthen considerably then trophies are extremely unlikely.
