I suspect that will be the case. Someone has blinked first and it looks like Koeman aint too happy so I bet it was the board. There was no way they could be seen to lose Lukaku and Barkley in one summer.

If he did sign, I think the majority of fans would be fine with the whole situation. Even if it got a little messy towards the end.

As far as I'm concerned, it'd be a clean slate. It'd also be a vote of confidence in Koeman and the future.

I think reactions like that are dictated more by personality type than managerial approach. Guy seems an angry sort.

Evertonians are pretty fair-minded on the whole. If Ross stays, all this will be forgotten by the majority.
