Koeman: "But ok, I can sell the boy and get Schteven Davisch in"
The board: "You get off to Malaga Ron, we'll take it from here".

Uh, yeah. Signing the next contract isn't terms of his contract. Getting your head down and doing your job as outlined in your contract is the very definition of professional. It's not Ross's responsibility to make sure the club can make money off of him - it's the club's responsibility. So, is running down your contract so you can go on a free and taking a massive additional sum that comes from the lack of transfer fee professional?
Would they have invested so much if it did not benefit the club to do so? Is that investment coming good dependent on him signing this contract? Is that Ross's responsibility? Is it his job to ensure the club get good value for him?Is it morally right that a Club that has invested very significant resources in nurturing and developing a player should be left high and dry with what has essentially become a depreciated asset because the agent and/or player want to take everything?
That's fine. I disagree. Ross's responsibility is to the terms of his contract and himself. Any loyalty to the club is bonus, and something to be lauded, but I don't blame him for not going above and beyond the terms of the contract he signed. That's not something I, or anyone who contributes to our Club in any way shape or form, can agree too.
Cease this Dave.
I dont care what he did as a player. He's won zero for a decade as a manager and prior to that his successes weren't top notch trophies they were parochial BS in Holland for the most part.
I wouldn't want Maradona as a manager mate, for obvious reasons. Player greatness means the square sum of nothing when it comes to management.
That said, generally alright with Koeman so far. He's got a passing grade here. But his managerial track record is merely "OK" overall too.
So was Maradona.
Now managing in UAE.
Just don't understand the obsession with 'local' players. Surely what we want are great players, regardless of where they were born
Presumably you're OK with a major shareholder who isn't local judging by your user name?
Or perhaps we should have stuck with Bill. Local lad don't ya know (and Evertonian)
The way I see it.....
RK keeps getting asked about RB contract. He gets asked more about this contract than Roms as he has another year left or KMs as he is a squad player and hasn't been hailed in the press as the next big thing for England in the past.
RK has answered, he hasn't singled him out, the press have. He's been honest when he's dropped him for not being good enough, lets face it, he hasnt been at times and the last 3 England managers agree.
People like Phil Neville start piping up that hes singled out then suddenly it must be true!!!
Fact is, if he had signed then we wouldnt be in this situation and the management team could be making proper plans.
We should change our fanbase. None of that local nonsense. Our new stadium should be filled with foreigners.

As is koemen to say he will be sold if ross doesn't like whats been offeredHe is within his rights to disagree.
It's basic labor practice, and not one I would like to see changed.
The reverse can be argued: he doesn't know how to get in the mind of average-to-good players and cant understand why they cant make a key pass/interceptionThe point i was trying to make was that he has the winning mentality needed to succeed. He knows what it takes to win. That's something we as a club haven't had for a while.
